Summer Theater!

Parker took an acting class from the Midland community center this summer. She actually didn't do any acting though; she was actually involved in set design, costumes and makeup. She enjoyed it because they were doing one of her favorite movies, "Coco." She had a fun week and it was cool to see the production come together at the end of the week.

She and I also got to see the Midland Center for the Arts production of The Little Mermaid. It was really neat for her to see some of the things she learned from camp on display on a bigger stage with real actors. It was a great summer for some theater!

Temple Trip and Visit with Mom and Dad

During all that time in Utah and Idaho, we never got a chance to go to the Temple together! So, we went on a sunny August afternoon. We were able to stop by the cemetery and visit my Mom. It's been 3 years since she passed away and I can hardly believe it. We also got to stop by and visit my Dad. He's living in Walton Woods Assisted Living and doing pretty well. He continues to try his best to live life without her. Somedays are not so easy, I'm sure. I'm so grateful for my parents and that I can still see him every now and then.

Their little condo in the big woods (as my Mom called it.)
