Maryn loves Regina Spektor and got tickets to her concert in March as part of her 16th birthday present. She got an extra ticket to invite a friend and so Katie came along with her, Avery, and Mark.
It was a great night for all of them!

Women's Conference with my "Young Woman"
Maryn is 16 now, so she gets invited to stuff like the Women's Conference in our Stake. I actually really enjoy these conferences--there's usually a great speaker, and some useful hands-on workshops, along with a yummy lunch. In our stake, there's actually some live entertainment too, so that's fun.
I am grateful I have a fun date to go with me to stuff like this now. Soon, there will be more!! :)

| We sat at the April birthday table and I thought this cake was so pretty--very springy. |
| I thought it was hilarious and fitting that my birthday coincides with "National Sense of Smell Day"--is that perfect of what?!? |

Dad and Daughter Poetry Reading
Maryn attended an open mic poetry reading with Mark recently. It was her first time doing something like this, but she did great! She is definitely following in her Dad's shoes. We're proud of her!

A Day Off
It's always a bummer when Mom and Dad's Spring Break doesn't coincide with the girls' spring break. This particular day was a treat because the power went out at Parker's school and they had an early release. All of us had the entire afternoon with nothing to do!
So we decided to go to the Kids Museum in Mount Pleasant and get lunch.
I love days like these, especially with this cutie. She won't be little forever, so I appreciate when these moments pop up.

The Daddy Daughter Dance
This year's daddy-daughter dance was an 80's theme. I think they all nailed it! Parker wasn't even sure who "Madonna" was when we told her she looked just like her! I'm grateful the Midland 1st Ward has fun traditions like this one for our girls and their dads.

A Mid-Winter Trip to Frankenmuth
The weather was unseasonably warm one weekend in February, so we decided to go and walk around Frankenmuth. It was a lot of fun--warm weather and cheese--what more could you ask for?
