Christmas Break Highlights

We had such a nice, long break for Christmas! We decided to do all the things that we never have time to do during the rest of the year. This may seem a little formal and chronological, but I wanted to be sure and capture all of our activities and fun stuff that we were able to do during our "vacation".
Saturday, December 22

A trip to the DIA...Maryn nearly touched a Picasso and Mark and I saw our lives flash before our eyes. (And because Erin loves it, we had lunch at a McD's on Woodward Ave.)

Sunday, December 23

Christmas Church...it's become somewhat of a tradition to get all fancied up and get a pic in front of the tree for the girls. This year they were especially photogenic. I love the "Prell" commercial pose.

Monday, December 24
Christmas Eve at Mom & Dad's...see post below.

Tuesday, December 25

Christmas Day...The girls got really excited that we were eating by candlelight.

Wednesday, December 26

Swimming at the Rec Center in Livonia...it was Rock-n-Roll day and Avery finally tried the water slide.

Thursday, December 27

A Trip to the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum...we now have a membership. They had this reindeer there the day we went. (We also had greek food at the Parthenon on Main Street).

Friday, December 28

A Trip to Colosanti's in Canada...I don't even know how to describe this place, but it has it all and it's all indoors.

Sounds like fun! I've never even heard of Colasanti's before, but it sounds perfect for a winter break get-away.

Did your girls head back to school today?

i'm always so comforted to know that dignified, mature people have blogs too! sometimes i feel so silly having one, but it's been such a great way to stay connected!

all kate could say was, "wow mom, avery looks so pretty. isn't she so pretty in her christmas dress!?"

Thanks for sharing! I'm in the works of getting our started again, for the main reason of losing touch with family and friends...Looks like we just missed each other at Disney!

P.S. We used to go to the Frankiln Cider Mill, too.
